Event topic: Positive Mascunility After Harm
Date: Wednesday, July 15th, 2026
Link: Leader’s Studio
Tomorrow, Wednesday at noon Eastern Time and 7 pm East Africa Time, I will join Todd Karges PCC, CPCC for a Leaders Studio conversation that is dear to my heart. Todd and I will explore what happens to positive masculinity when it has been shaped by harm, silence, survival, or the misuse of power.

Why Positive Masculinity Matters
I am the founder of Lifesong Kenya, a restorative justice initiative based in Kajiado County that supports vulnerable boys and young men rebuilding their lives after conflict with the law, trauma, exploitation, violence, and sexual abuse. Through our Halfway House, we provide housing, counseling, education, and skills training—creating space for healing, accountability, and transformation. LifeSong Kenya is recognized by the Department of Children Services, Kajiado County, and we collaborate with police, probation officers, chiefs, social workers, and shelters across multiple networks.
This conversation is deeply personal for me. I grew up without a father. That absence left me timid, shy, and wrestling with low self-esteem. I carry the wound of fatherlessness in my own story, and it is what drives me to show up for the young men we serve—helping them heal, regain their strength, and rewrite their stories through the lens of positive masculinity.
In this Leaders Studio, Todd Karges and I will bring together my frontline experience in restorative justice and his work coaching leaders through complexity, power, and repair. We will explore what Positive Masculinity looks like in practice: strength without domination, accountability without shame, and what restorative practices can teach leaders in organizations and communities everywhere.

My Thoughts On Positive Masculinity
I believe that Positive Masculinity is not about perfection. It is about the courage to face our wounds, take responsibility of our own healing and build something better, for ourselves and for the next generation. Every group of people experiences harm, rupture, defensiveness, silence, and exclusion differently. The question is whether we have the courage and the skills to create conditions for truth, accountability, repair and reintegration that brings dignity, honor and respect to individuals who have experienced harm.
If you are a leader, a coach, a mentor, or someone who cares about what healthy manhood can look like after harm, this conversation is for you. Join us as we explore positive masculinity in action and what it takes to lead with both strength and humility.
