You can make a vision board wherever you’re

We live in a world that is awash with conflicting images and stories about those we admire, adore and look up to. This being so, we need to chart own way in life. This is the only sure way we can avoid becoming a mere photocopy of our role models.

In my coaching work, I meet people who have no goals or lack clarity of their goals. While setting goals is important, finding, having and maintaining clarity makes a difference. Clarity enables you to focus on your goals and avoid the things that can derail your efforts.

Having a vision board is one of the ways we can maintain clarity of our goals.

So, what’s a vision board?

A vision board is a visual tool that helps you to clarify and focus on your desired goal. It is a collection or representation of images that capture the things you want to achieve, experience or have in your life.

A vision board is a powerful tool that enables you to visualize your goals. I encourage you to consider making one in order to have a visual representation of your goals. It will be the best investment you will ever make in your life.

I made my vision board in 2007 when I did not have a job and lived from hand to mouth. The pictures I chose were of the things I wanted to do and achieve. I soon began using my vision board as a source of motivation.

I looked at the vision board every morning when I woke up and reflected on the images throughout the day.  It was the first thing I saw when I came back home. Before I went to bed, I looked at my vision board and did two things. I felt grateful for having a dream and knew tomorrow heralded a new beginning. As a result, I started having hope, faith and expectation.

My vision board enabled me to start speaking positive things about myself, my gifts and my abilities. It enabled me to envision my future and gain confidence. I felt empowered to apply for jobs that I was not qualified for. A year later, I applied and got a job as a TV Producer. All this happened as a result of having a vision board and having clarity of my goals.
